Strudel with figs extra preserve and apples

The strudel with figs extra preserve and apples is an original and delicious dessert.
It is a delicious variant of the original recipe for apple strudel, but which is especially popular with children because the filling is sweet and nutritious.
It is ideal for snacks with friends or as a dessert: for the sweet tooth it is excellent accompanied by a scoop of ice cream and served lukewarm. Choose all organic ingredients!

Ingredients
  • • 110 g of type 00 flour
    • 50 g of Manitoba flour
    • 60 g of butter
    • 60 g of cane sugar
    • 1 egg
    • 25 ml of hot water
    • Salt
Preparation

On a pastry board, make a fountain with the flour, sugar and salt.
Combine the water, the egg, the melted butter (20g) and mix everything with the help of a fork.

Knead with your hands for at least 10 minutes until the dough is smooth and homogeneous.
Cover with a plasticwrap and leave to rest in the refrigerator for atleast 60 minutes.

Peel and dice the apples: brown the apples in a pan with lemonjuice and brown sugar for atleast 10 minutes, untilthey are dried by the juice.

Add the finely chopped almonds, cinnamon, lemon peel and half of the preserve jar

Spread the dough taken from the refrigerator: the dough must be very thin and with a rectangular shape. Brush the pastry with oil and spread half of the remaining jam jar.

Pour the filling in the center of the pastry and close the rectangle, rolling it up on itself, taking care to seal the edges well. Prick the dough with a fork and brush the oil on the surface.

Bake at 180 degrees for about 30 minutes in a ventilated oven.
Allow the strudel to cool and garnish with plenty of icing sugar.
