The origins of the sour cherry tree is uncertain: some think it came from Western Asia or Central Europe, while others deem it as endemic of Europe, saw that many seeds of cherry tree have been found in prehistorical sites of central Europe. Legend wants it to be taken to Italy thanks to a Roman general, Lucullus, famous for its feasts, who planted it in his gardens around 65 BC. To prepare our jam we use sour cherries and organic sugar only.
