“I Mediterranei” sauces: typical Italian, intensely good.

Presented at Tuttofood 2023 the new sauces of the “I Mediterranei” line made by Cascina San Cassiano with a 100% Italian tomato base enriched with ingredients typical of our territory, the result of careful research and qualitative selection. This is a gastronomic proposal that honors the traditional productions of our South.

The chili pepper of Calabria, which enriches the recipe for the “Arrabbiata” sauce, is famous for its intense, fruity aroma and spiciness that ranges from moderate to intense; properties that make it widely used in cooking. This esteemed chili pepper is grown using traditional techniques without the use of chemical additives.

Marinara sauce is enhanced by the aromatic taste of Sicilian oregano, a character due to cultivation in a hot, dry environment and volcanic soils rich in minerals. An internationally renowned traditional production due to its widespread use in typical Sicilian dishes.

This high-quality triptych is completed by the capers and olives sauce with ” dripping of anchovies”, a true gastronomic treasure from Campania that has its roots in ancient times. The process is the traditional one that starts from the pressing of freshly caught anchovies, then follows filtering to separate the dense and salty parts from the more refined liquid rich in intense scent and maturation. A typical Cetara production, requiring mastery and experience and therefore considered a rare delicacy.

These new sauces offer the traditional quality of Cascina San Cassiano’s sauces to the market, but each is embellished with a “gem” of refined gastronomic culture, making it unique in intensity and character.

Even the bottle packaging is eye-catching and reminiscent of traditional artisanal tomato preserves.
